I bit the bullet.

I need a back-up camera. In general i need a back-up camera, but specifically now because i follow a photo journalism class. Someone offered me a 2nd hand D100 for around $500 - $550, body only, with vertical grip. But then i thought i can buy a new D50 for $550.

So i did that. I bought a new D50 and a 5 year MACK warranty from B&H Photo Video and a SD Card from Amazon (why does the D50 take SD Cards!!!??? I have plenty of CF cards) all with 2-day shipping. All in all i spent $675 for everything.

I was contemplating buying a D200 and have my D70 as a back-up camera. But D200s are nowhere to be found and hard to be found in the near future. So, i skipped that idea!
