I have the new body and, since my first one was not too good, i did some quick tests (ISO200/400 and ISO1600/3200). The short-type banding is still there a liiittle. I think this is just part of the camera. I don’t mind this too much. Strange, though, that two similar shots (same ISO, exposure, same scene) are different. One shows slight banding, the other none at all!  

The noise levels of the new D200 body is somewhere in between my first D200 body before Nikon’s fix (the highest levels) and the one after the fix (lowest levels). I determined this by repeating the ‘lens-cap’ tests… not very scientific at all!

So far, no stripes/banding in the noise.
BTW: Serial number is 303xxxx
