Nikon Capture 4.4 is out
Thursday, December 15th, 2005I was browsing through DPReview.com and i read that - finally - Nikon has released a new version of Nikon Capture (NC) that fixes the ‘recover highlight’ issue.
Older versions of Nikon Capture just made blown-out parts a little less white, but still blown-out… no details were recovered, even if they were present in the RAW data (now: recovering detail in highlights that is NOT present in the RAW data! That would be magic!!)

I’m beginning to use Photoshop (PS) less and less and NC more and more. That’s a good thing; it speeds up my workflow.
I have still one question left: There is a new option "B&W" in the ‘Color Mode’ section of the ‘Advanced Raw’ tool-pallete. What is the difference between this option and the black&white options that were already there? Anybody knows…?
